Journey’s To A Dream - Inception 

Why don’t they make sweatpants long enough to fit me … Probably for the same reason they don’t make slacks that fit me either…. This was an on going dialogue between my mom and I when I was in mid-school. It was the first time I realized that “standard sizes” weren’t really standard. Our conversation about ill-fitting clothes has continued well into my adulthood. My mind circulated around the idea that women’s clothing was “made” for us but for some reason never really fits us. Why? And why is it that the struggle I found in my childhood home was a common grievance that countless women face. It begs the question.. Is the women’s clothing market really for women or is it for men and their bottom lines?
